Oh, Dr. Love..!

I sometimes wonder how people can be so… stupid?

But then I am reminded that there is a thin-skinned narcissistic nepo man-baby reality star in the White House who was elected by a high number of people to be there. For the second time!  And I also remember that the Health Secretary is a drug and sex addict conspiracy theorist with a worm in his head so it all tracks. Every single one of the things Dr. Love talks about here is something that I’ve heard about and not voluntarily. And I bet you have, also.

This IS the dumbest timeline. Ever.

So, Constant Reader, tell us, which is your fav conspiracy theory/batshit crazy rumor? Go ahead, it’ll be just between us squirrel friends and the internet....

  1. Big says,
The Red Dye 40...that one is just.... <<>> But the MAHA is dangerous and will kill hundreds of thousands of people. Sometimes, I think that's exactly what they want: Kill off and replace with zero educated. Talk about Replacement Theory....

    1. That one is INSANE.
Children being hyperactive? Groundbreaking. Also, MAHA is bullshit and you are right: lowkey, that's their plan.

  2. There have always been stupid people, however now they have access to the internet and social media platforms whose algorithms are so designed, so that if you click on one item you might be curious in and it will send you many other articles of a similar nature. This is how they get their advertising to you.

    1. I know!
It goes to show that going around with a computer in their hand does not make a stupid person smart. Facehook and Twitter are echo chambers for the unwashed MAGA masses and soon TikTok and Instagram will go the same way....

    HuntleyBiGuy;
Many people have little interest in fact checking. I don’t know how many times I’ve told people that just because the email said it came form Amazon and they want to confirm your login credentials, doesn’t mean that’s who it came from. You need to look at the sender’s email address. 🙄

And it’s only going to get worse with AI.

    1. It blows my mind.
With information so readily available (and triangulation so easily achieved) and still people decide to believe whatever fits their cosmology/ racism/xenophobia/brand of grievance.
      Ugh.

  4. My favourite conspiracy theory is that Charles Lindbergh inadvertently killed his own baby via shaken baby syndrome and then created the whole coverup that resulted in an innocent man being accused and hung for the "kidnapping and murder." I think it could actually be true, given what an asshole Lindbergh was.

I have never heard this one!!! Outrageous if true.

The stories I heard was that the Lindbergh baby was born with an undisclosed disability and Lindbergh (who was a believer in eugenics so popular at that time) had the baby killed. Another story was the baby’s nurse accidentally dropped the baby killing him, and then concocted the kidnapping story out of fear of imprisonment or worse.
