Oh, Gay Bodies…?

A few weeks ago, I sent Huntley a reel I found on Instagram.
In it, a man took his shirt off and showed off his fantastic physique: outstanding muscle definition, impressive arms, shoulders and abs. Superbly sculpted. Flawless.

His response? 'No'.

And I agreed! No, it's not that we are not losing our interest in attractive men. It's that there was something off with that picture. For one, the man was very young. Hopefully early twenties (it looked to me like he could have been younger, but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt) but with the body of a lifelong body builder. His head looked slightly small for his formidable shoulders and chest. His arms were fantastic, but the biceps and triceps looked... too huge? I don't know. There was something off with the whole thing. Like a kid wearing his dad's clothes.

And this is something that people see every day. Especially on social media. You know the algorithm is going to give you whatever you click on or view ten times over, right? So if you follow one attractive man on social media, the algorithm will give you ten times that and suddenly, your whole feed is... incredibly attractive men. And they all look incredibly beautiful. And they all look... the same.

I think that most of them are using steroids.

I blame the manosphere: Online communities and influencers in the manosphere often promote hormone supplementation to achieve a dominant and "alpha male" image. And the gays especially, fall prey of it. With their promise of lighting fast and impressive gains, it seems an easy trick. Just listen to what the guys in the video with Jon say.
Oh, and there’s also marketing and social media: Influencers, especially on instagram and TikTok who are open about their own use of testosterone and market related products can create a cycle where the desire for these traits is reinforced. But hormone therapy is not without controversy and can have very serious side effects, including an increased risk of prostate cancer, liver damage, and aggression. Or a hairy back, shrinkage and terrible acne.

And that is just the tip of the iceberg.

XOXO

P.S.a sample found on Instagram. All I had todo was to go to ‘search’ and click on one beautiful man.

P. P. S. Not all of these men are gay. Probably not all of them are on steroids, but all of them have something to sell you.

  1. The giant chests and bulging arms and thick necks make them look like they have pinheads.
    "No" is the word.

  2. Big says,
My word for that "look" is Gross.
And the damage that shit does to their bodies over time is not going to be good. While they think they're healthy, the build-up of the chemicals over the long haul will kill them.

    1. It's just not aesthetically pleasing when it goes too far!!
And I cannot imagine what those chemicals do to them. Especially to younger men...

Body dysmorphia, not a good thing. And with all the steroids, hormones and supplements say goodbye to the liver and kidneys as they have to metabolize and filter all that shit ! Not to mention the pH levels in blood getting thrown out of wack causing the blood to become acidic through acidosis and the damage that causes to all the organs of the body.:\
I work out and leave it at that, and maintain an aesthetic and muscular physique.

    1. Absolutely.
They're never 'too big'. And I was reading about the damages to kidney and liver. And that your testicles shrink? And the mood swings? And the back acne? All for biceps the size of cantaloupes?
I think a man with a fit physique is so much sexier...

  4. The “perfect” bodies flooding our feeds really do start looking artificial after a while. Social media definitely sets wild expectations, and it’s easy to forget that so much of it is enhanced, filtered or fueled by shortcuts with real risks.

    1. They DO look artificial!!
I cannot imagine who would think they look 'natural'. And of course the are going to take shortcuts. All to achieve what they see on social media...!
      Fools.

  5. The big ones are on steroids. The leaner ones where every muscle is defined keep their body fat low, almost as unhealthy as steroids. And all of them are addicted to the gym.

    1. The big ones have got to be on something.
For real. And they talk on the video about how to get those lean physiques that show off the abs. And yes, they are all totally addicted to the gym.
      Such a pity.

  6. I like men as much as the next slut, but if a body is not in proportion, for me personally it looks just ridiculous. And when a dude has pecs that look as big as tits? uh no! Not sexy to me at all. Some men, like plastic surgery junkies, don't know when to shut it off. I once met a good-looking guy that was talking to me once at a bar. After a few drinks he asked if I wanted to titty fuck him back in his room. MAJOR TURN OFF! Some of the odd things that have happened to me, could be a post.

And they do it to get the 'hot' guys. Who probably just look like them?
And that man wanted you to motorboat him? Mads, we need the WHOLE story!!!

  7. I do admit to spending a lot of time in the gym, and I'm happy with where I'm at and staying where I'm at with my body. But I will never touch any of that bullshit. If these guys were as healthy as they claim, then they 'd know the internal damage they are doing to their system.

    1. One thing is to go to the gym often and another (totally different) is to inject yourself with stuff to look huge.
And you are right: that's bullshit. They are ruining the future of their bodies for a 'now' that is really not that hot...
