Oh, so this is it..?
So here’s the thing: I think most people like falling in love.
Falling in love is so very… human? But apparently it is not looks or money, babes. Yeah, the Housewives of Wherever and the Kartrashians are wrong. And so are the MAGA Repugs. All that money can't buy them love.
Maybe that's why they're all so absolutely miserable?

ReplyDeleteIsn’t there a saying “The heart wants what it wants?” If not, I just coined it 😜. I think it’s something that happens, not something you create, it’s organic. And if it happens, it can be orgasmic. I know it happened to me a few years ago. Got on the apps, and someone popped up that ended up becoming a relationship. One of the best periods in my life.

Aww babes!

Big says,
ReplyDeleteAs Brando says in "Guys and Dolls" as intro to a song: "It's chemistry...yeah, chemistry."
XOXO
Yes, there needs to be chemistry.
DeleteBut that's also present in the worst relationships we have. Ex Sex is indeed a thing. And it's good.
The relationship, in turn is not. That's why they're exes.
XOXO
Interesting video. Don't know that I entirely agree with it.
ReplyDeleteI think the three things are integral to any good relationship.
DeleteI think there needs to also be attraction, because otherwise it'd be a very good friendship...

Sorry, self-flagellation is not my 2nd nature. The kindness bit is okay. I honestly thing too many people are looking for because they're terrified of being alone, and so they're constantly making terrible choices.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with that. I think it takes a really good person mentally to be alone and enjoy having alone time. Too many of my friends keep settling just to settle. And then they wonder why it doesn't work out.
DeleteSelf-flagellation?
DeleteWhich video did you watch? And some people do get into codependent and abusive relationships because that's all they know... that's what therapy is for: to break that cycle...
XOXO
All I know is that I wasn't looking for it when it happened to me, and it was exactly what I needed.
ReplyDeletexoxo
And that's the best way to find it.
DeleteIt's happened to me a few times and it's fantastic.

Where’s the science behind the video? Interesting thoughts, but I’m not convinced. But I’m sure not convinced the Carcrashians or Housewives know anything except money and fame.
ReplyDeleteI never watched a one, but there's Bachelor and bachelorette reality shows and now the golden bachelor and bachelorette, I find sort of pathetic. It's like you can't find a life partner in real life? Although at the end of the day we all know the whole thing staged. Which I find sort of sad that people even watch these shows. Are we really that hard up for entertainment? I'm so over the whole reality genre of TV I could scream. I'd much rather watch movies murder mysteries dramas or sitcoms.
ReplyDeleteOh yes.
DeleteI have heard of those. Have not watched them (I watched I kissed a Boy on Hulu, though) and even though I found it entertaining (and gay) I could not help but see the red flags. And the relationship that I wanted most to succeed did not happen...
