Oh, Mr. Arnold...
Oh, hi Jason.
Please keep talking to me....
In any case, this is a beautiful place. The miracles you can make in a house when you're creative, no? 1980s constructions are nor always the most beautiful. Remember the 80's? Excess, McMansions and terrible color choices. He fixed all that.
I just can't with the location (I try to never go below 80 in my drives, babes), but this house is beautiful.
XOXO
P.S. his instagram is total inspo! @jasonarnold
Big says,
ReplyDeleteHe's done a nice job with opening the first floor and the kitchen is great. But there's still too much "stuff" for me. And, I wanted to slap him for that painting in front of the books. LOL
XOXO
I agree.
DeleteAnd I like the 'stuff' because it brings character and interest o the spaces. You would be amazed to know how many people do that in their libraries... LOL
XOXO
I like it, and feel that he had a lot of stuff but it wasn't so overwhelming.
ReplyDeleteGreat bones in the house, though, and I lovelovelove that kitchen countertop edge.
xoxo
No, it's not overwhelming.
DeleteI find he's got a great eye for proportions, too.
The kitchen is fab.
XOXO
Nice accent, and the house would be great if he'd learn to add a touch of color.
ReplyDeleteI wanted him to talk some more.
DeleteAnd I think he's going more for contrast and texture here. There is color in the house, it's just not saturated...
XOXO
The house is absolutely gorgeous, I love the style. It's comfy, and warm enough without being too cold he did good.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I have noticed from these videos, and with home buyers in general, is it me or is everybody always like it was the worst layout, the worst style, blah blah blah. Does anybody ever just move into a house and they're happy with it? With exceptions you painting and minor changes.
Same.
DeleteI think he did a great 'masculine' look. As in not too frilly but still tasteful and with personality.
I think some houses, especially from the eighties, tend to be boxy and cold. He did a great job here, but I think it did need more than just paint...
XOXO
