Oh, On the sea...?
This is kind of the furthest way of life from my own I can think of. Yet I sometimes wonder how it'd be like to live like this...

That's the title of one of my favourite songs. The most lethal, the most essential thing is to hear your own voice. Also, keeping up with the idea of writing as catharsis, this one blog is dedicated all to myself. More solipsism would be hard to find. And I like it like that. Oh, and this is a queer (and self-proclaimed 'ADULT') blog so go ahead, make your day... mine is done.

Under 18? Beat it. Now.
Looks good! And I'll try to watch that Madonna video today too. Now I'm all curious about the "vibes" LOL
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it?
DeleteI found it intriguing and it seems it was beautifully filmed.
And the vibes are .... you'll see. Madge is in great form.
XOXO
It looks very interesting. I have had several instances in my life where I had choices to go left or right and often wonder about the choice I didn't make.
ReplyDeleteI like the line about choosing to "live a lie," but I would have written it, "You have the choice to live a lie or live a life."
xoxo
IKR???
DeleteIt's just the ONE decision that could change our lives radically. Love the idea between choosing a lie or a life.

Big says,
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, "Brokeback Mountain" on a fishing boat in the U.K. But it looks good
XOXO
Well, it's more contemporary.
DeleteIt's got more to do with what's expected of you than acceptance. His son apparently is going through some things, also...
XOXO
That question is so haunting, Sixpence—"What if your destiny is chosen for you?" It really makes you appreciate the chaotic freedom of having to carve out your own path, even when it’s tough. The movie looks deeply moving, and Bob’s comment below about choosing to "live a lie or live a life" is a brilliant way to phrase that struggle. Thanks for sharing this perspective!
ReplyDeleteA man in his position is between two impossible choices.
DeleteI know it's gonna make me cry.

This trailer's been around for a while. It's set to be released later this month in the UK, no release date for the US though. It'll probably show up on Mubi before it plays in your local movie house.
ReplyDeleteYes, it has.
DeleteIt's been in some festivals, too. I hope it has a wide release here, but my hopes are not too high.
XOXO
Ohhhhh does that look good!!!!! And I recognize many from my Brit shows.
ReplyDeleteThe men are beautiful, the scenery breathtaking and the topic fire.
DeleteI think these are all well established actors. It tells you that starring in a gay movie does not do damage to your career.
XOXO
I think destiny is chosen for you and then you screw it up.
ReplyDeleteOh, I've seen that also.
DeleteSometimes do do make our own destiny. It's a game of variables...
