Oh, Turkish Hairlines....

I have done all kinds of terrible things to my hair. I've permed it, bleached it, dyed it, blow dried it, shaved it, you name it, I think I may have done it to my hair. And I'm still holding on to it. I'm one of the lucky ones, I think. If I’m right about my genes, I may have some time left with it. My dad held on to it for years and my mom's side of the family had nice hair (but Italians can be tricky).

The thing is, I have not lost my hair. Yet. I know it may come, because some men start losing theirs in their early twenties! I know men who have shaved their heads at thirty. And even though I think that many men with shaved heads are hot in a Mr. Clean kind of way, many men freak out the second they start losing their hair. After all, it's a symbol of youth and sex appeal. Apparently it’s virile to have a full mane of hair. I'm sure you may somehow recognize the motivation behind the decisions made by the men in this video. And recognize how far they will go (literally) to hold on to their locks.

  1. I still have hair. I get it cut short every 3 months. I've always found it more of a hassle than anything else.

    1. Nice!
I take it you like it short.
I also cut my hair every four weeks, more or less, to keep its shape because it's a mid-length cut, not short but not long..

  2. I have a full head of lustrous hair. Baldness is not in my future. Even thinning hair seems off the table.

    1. Totally jealous.
Not many men can brag about that. Especially men over thirty.

  3. I just had lunch with a friend last week who told me her gay son and his husband both had hair transplants done in Turkey! Now I know that Turkey is a mecca for such procedures, thanks to your video. My friend was house-sitting for them now while they were at World Pride in Amsterdam or some such exotic place.

    1. OMG see?
TONS of people are going to Turkey to get their hair on. And yes, there was World Pride. Madonna was there and she introduced Kylie Minogue and did a collab with her. Yes, everything leads to Madonna.

    HuntleyBiGuy:
I can confirm some of the things you’ve done to your hair. And I can also confirm you have great hair, which comes in handy in some situations 😜.

It’s pretty wild that you can book procedures that include all of the amenities and it still comes in under US prices. Like Spencer, I would have huge anxiety about being in a foreign country if something should go wrong. On the plus side, he had first hand recommendations from people he knew.

      You know how it is.
And the prices were CRAZY. I cannot understand how surgeons in the States get on it! Some of the prices there include hotel and spa treatments!
But I would freak out cause I cannot speak Turkish and Gay rights there are null...

  5. Big says,
But...but...isn't bald all the current craze? I know men who shave their pates "just because" they think it makes them look young and virile.
I still have my hair...and probably will keep it. It may thin, but no male-pattern balding like my brother.

    1. I don't now if bald is the craze.
I know that many men have stopped doing combovers and even hairpieces. They have shown off their transformations on social media to much praise from people.
Having a full head of hair is still considered very desirable.

And your brother got the male-pattern balding going on? You dodged that bullet.

    2. He does...poor guy. I dodged that one, that the goddess.

  6. It sounds like your hair has lived nine lives already! If it could survive all that chemical warfare and heat styling, you’ve definitely hit the genetic jackpot.
It's fascinating (and hilarious) how deep that hair-anxiety runs for guys, especially watching what some will do just to avoid the clippers. Here’s hoping your dad's genes keep doing the heavy lifting for years to come!

I know I'll thin out. I can work some magic with haircuts right now and I do have a good head of hair but it'll come.

  7. If I ever go bald...well....the Mistress may be out permanently. Thank heavens I have a lot of my wigs still!
