Oh, JP....
First of all, the blueprint. I love it when they show you what the place used to look before it was remodeled/adapted/changed. Second, given that I’m not ready to rent/buy a 12,000 sq foot place, this could do. Also, I’m here for the amount of personality packed in such a small package.
Here’s the thing, making smaller places look and feel spacious and comfy takes much more ingenuity than making a five bedroom McMansion feel cozy. Oh, you have the square footage already? Well, take the inspo you’ll get here to make your guest room look fabulous. And yes, you can extend the banister in the bedroom if you want to. I would let it as is unless some big burly man is gonna be throwing me around in that space on a regular basis.
I love the distribution and I don’t mind the loft at all. Notice who lives there: the apartment was customized for him. Well, him and the doggie. And I love that journey for them.
XOXO
P. S. My ex and his husband live in the Philippines. Owning property in a big city is not cheap. Let alone Metro Manila.

I could easily live in this, although after a long night out with a few libations would make the ladder to the boudoir a challenge!! LOL! But love small homes. When one has a larger home it's more work, you acclimate more shit you don't need or use once, and have rooms you barley use. I have a game room, family room, and an extra bedroom all empty and not in use. But this is nice and everything has it's place.
ReplyDeleteBeing 6'2 I know that I will bang my head every time I hit the top of that ladder on the way to bed.
ReplyDeleteBut I love how much storage there is, and space for things, and I love the redesign of the space. I mean, the bathroom opened to the kitchen? Oh.Hell.No.
And then I realized his apartment is 1/10th the size of Casa Bob y Carlos! Oy.

I could not handle the ladder and the loft bedroom. Hell no! The rest of it is laid out nicely though.
