Been reading some of my guys and they seem to be all on the same topic: manliness. I guess that we men obsess over that like there's no tomorrow. And gay men even more. One of them talks about the new trend of having sex without penetration. That sounds actually cool. I had a man who loved frottage and I have to say that the feeling was amazing. Very intimate, you rubbing against another man until you come. It worked very well because his cock pointed towards his belly and him on top of me was the perfect position to rub his cockhead against my navel.
It worked very well at the beginning of our relationship, when I still felt a little bit intimidated by his height (he's around 6'3") and his size (over eight inches). It was a good starting point. Those lazy afternoons in his apartment were amazing. Not that I'd have the chance now, but I totally recommend it to someone starting any kind of liaison. Even if it's a one-night-stand. One should not have intercourse that first night, anyway. Or the second. It is better if you get to know his body and him before you get to third base.

Other of the themes seems to be masculinity, as perceived by gay men, anyway. And we all know how that goes: bigger, better, butcher. Nothing like gay men to twist what being a man is. The idealization of what a straight man should be does not let us actually see that there is no such thing as the 'perfect man' who says the 'perfect things' and has the 'perfect body'. But of course, we're all fucked up because of porn and the images we're fed. The hard, perfect bodies, the seduced 'straight' guy with the nine inch dong who goes at it like there's no tomorrow and barely kisses you while he fucks you. The lure of the unattainable and the vampiric urge to possess what we think we lack.

But it's always fun (and instructive) to read these guys. I try to keep up with them and comment when I feel it'd be cool. It's funny, how you create these network of people whose thoughts you read and digest and analyze. Only wish I had more time and patience to sail the 'net and get more from them. Because they are all brilliant and entertaining and witty. Sometimes better than a book. And I don't even have to go to the library to read them. And that's really good.
