War in Ukraine suddenly became more personal to me. @kirilllf, the handle that artist Kirill Fadeyev uses on IG suddenly became a direct link to the war malignant narcissist Vladimir Putin is waging on Ukraine.  The images in his Stories told a strikingly depressing tale of destruction: the havoc caused by Russian tanks.

Kirill lives just 15 km. from Kyiv. I cannot imagine how he feels. I would be paralyzed by fear. Feeling that the only thing that he can do is show us his painting of his idea of Ukraine is such an incredibly touching gesture, though. War is horrible and makes people feel that they cannot do anything to stop it. I hate that feeling.

That is why I am showing his work today. I have wanted to post his paintings for awhile, and no better time than now. One thing we can do is give him a follow and if possible, buy one of his paintings. Some are not cheap, mind you, and they can be found from $30 up to $2,000. But they are all incredibly beautiful (and many are in full-size canvas!) and touch on a variety of topics. His website is called ARTGAYS.COM in case you are interested.

I am posting his website here because I discovered that even though I knew there were some lurkers, google has told me that many, many more people than I thought actually click on my posts. So if you have the means (or are in Europe, apparently I have a ton of readers in Europe??), make sure you either contact him on his website or follow him on IG. It will make me feel like I did something for someone in a precarious situation. Ukrainians are going to need a lot of help to rebuild their country after that maniac finishes his pissing contest with the world.

I love his vision. It's very sensual and very... Bel Ami? His art somehow reminds me of those men in the Bel Ami videos, impossibly endowed and incredibly beautiful. I think that's the beauty he captures in his paintings: a somehow idealized man who still has time to appear a little bruised. If you have watched Bel Ami porn, you know what I'm talking about. If not...

I like his big format graphics and paintings best but he also has very affordable prints. And even non-erotic works, if that's your pleasure. I prefer the paintings of men and I've been eyeing some of his works on sale for a hot minute.

And his art goes beyond painting dicks. From his website:

Kirill Fadeyev is an artist with an exceptional imagination and tremendous artistic skill. Known as the Ukrainian Aubrey Beardsley, his elegant line drawing makes his erotic pictures of men unique and immediately recognizable. Based in Kiev, Ukraine, he works as a painter and architectural designer. A fine artist, he won many prizes as a student and a major historical painting by him hangs in the office of the Government of Kiev. Fadeyev is also the author of a number of sculptural and architectural monuments, including the monument of the WWII fallen soldiers in the very center of Kiev. He is a challenging artist and his works will often shock the viewer. But his great skill as a draftsman, along with his humor and sense of play, redeem his works and raise them to some of the most engaging works of graphic art produced anywhere in the world today.

Yeah. That's right.

I hope everything goes well for Kirill and his people. I'm keeping an eye on his feed, just in case. I'm really looking forward to his next post, hopefully telling us that everything is ok and that things in Kyiv are better and that Ukraine is back to being a free nation. Fingers crossed!

XOXO

P.S: Today, that Malignant Narcissist in the Kremlin is sending a forty mile long line of tanks to Ukraine. I am sure his fragile little ego is bruised and even though the world is condemning his actions, he'll attack. If you want to help people in Ukrainie here's some resources:

  1. so nice works and guy. Here he is: http://artgays.com/content/4-about-me
Very interesting. What a problem with Ukraine & Putin (N.B.: not with Russians, because this is a war wanted by only Putin)

    1. Yes, he's as handsome as his paintings.
And what Vlad is doing in Ukraine is beyond the pale. Malignant Narcissists are the worst.

    2. do not underestimate Putin! even though he has now made a tragic choice, he is very smart! He has nothing to do with other people, like your ex-Potus. Even he's a devil, he's a very intelligent one. Otherwise he would not have survived through Communist Germany, recycling himself as a democrat, to become the tyrant president of Russia.

    3. Oh, Never.
Vlad is an evil psychopath. That's why he's stayed in power for so long. Hopefully this time he'll get his comeuppance.

  2. His work is fantastic. I’ve given him a follow.

I hope this is all over soon with that rat fucker sent packing to some gulag. Hopefully he won’t take the easy way out and he suffers pain and humiliation.

    1. Yes!
You should. I think he's super creative and I'm hoping to get a paypal account to see if I can get some of the prints.
Rat fucker is a good description of Vlad, bae.

  3. While I worry about war, I am seeing hopeful signs of the entire world pulling together for Ukraine and against, not Russia, but Putin. I hope right wins out over this tiny little man.

    1. Oh, I agree.
Michael in Norfolk today was talking about how Vlad has united the world against fuckery in a way he was not expecting. I'm weary of his reaction, though. He's a psychopath.

  4. Pink News is reporting that one of the Warlords who helped oversee Chechnya's brutal "gay purge" has now been killed in Ukraine -- https://www.pinknews.co.uk/2022/02/28/russia-chechnya-ukraine-magomed-tushayev/

  5. If Putin conquers the Ukraine, the pictures you posted may be all that remains of Krill.

    1. Oh, Vlad already destroyed the works of Maria Prymachenko, a beloved Ukrainian painter, with one of his bombings. But art lives forever.
I'm sure anything homoerotic will go underground if Vlad gets his wish of destroying Ukraine, but Krill is a renowned artist (and sculptor) and his art goes beyond what I posted here. I'm sure that even if Vlad destroys Kyiv, Krill's art will still be around.

  6. The situation in the Ukraine is a global travesty! Bombing supermarkets and preschools! Crimes against humanity. But art... art will survive all. Especially shared art. And that is what you've done here, dear. Thank you. Wishing you the very best.

    1. It's the wish of a madman with too much power.
Vlad's idea of a Tsar-ruled Russia is a nightmare. I hope he's judged harshly for the crimes against humanity he's committed.
And I agree with you. Art survives all.

  7. What is happening is devastating, not only to the people of Ukraine but the general population of Russia. There is not much we can do as average citizens. The biggest one is to support Biden! As the MAGAts decry him as weak, we must build him up because he's certainly much better than the orange idiot who would have been standing at the border waving in the Russian invaders.
As for Kirill's art - beautiful. I've seen some of his works before. My favorites: The faeries, the pencil drawings, and the young man picking up the flower. XOXO

    1. It's a double tragedy.
And the thing is, Vlad does not care about anything but his manic dream. His delirium of grandeur knows no bounds. And Uncle Joe has managed this situation with precision and diplomacy. So glad he's the president. You know that Cheeto, who is a Russian asset, would have done squat.
And I love Krill's faeries! My fav is his image of Ukraine.

  8. This whole world is going insane!

I did like some of his work, in particular Pinocchio and the black and whitish art with the boy kneeing down from behind. If someone does purchase his art, I wonder how it will get out with all the conflict going on? I hope this all ends soon. And that Volodymyr Zelenskyy prevails...otherwise Putin will move on and destroy Europe. He is a lunatic, and mad

I have texted and emailed a guy I used to "date" and we stayed friends, who lives in Russia and was taking part in the war protest. I haven't heard hide or hair from him since Saturday. I wish he would have left Russia when he had the chance.

    1. I agree with you. It's getting crazier and crazier by the minute.
And Krill's work is fantastic. I do like that Pinocchio, too. I think it would be difficult to buy anything right now, but once things calm down, it would be worth a try. I'd love to have some of his affordable prints.
Hope your friend in Russia is ok. Vlad is trying to silence any voice of dissent in the country. I hope that's his undoing.

      XOXO
