Got Joystick?

Yesterday Dave was writing about a vide game (Cyberpunk?) and I realized that I have not played a video game in years. I think the graphics have advanced to a point where the video game is literally a movie and that many games have gay subplots and that they let you play with avatars in any gender. I've posted about what people do to make video games gayer before but I have really never played any of those games.

Then I stumbled upon Gay Harem:

Enter a crazy universe where manga guys have gone wild for sex! Create your own harem of the horniest bara characters and defeat opponents in thrilling sexual contests.
In Gay Harem, you'll enjoy a real RPG with tons of uncensored bara content. Explore a mirror universe of video-game guys, recruit them to your team, grow your harem, and build up your hero to defeat other players in strategic harem battles!
Can you create the mightiest harem of this oversexed world? Find out in Gay Harem!

It's funny, because if I were a game developer, I'd think there's a whole world of players out there ready to play a game where they can be, well, gay. Enter Gay Harem. This seems to be a free game with an online platform (I think you can download an Android app, but didn't see any for Apple. Remember that Apple is very sex-phobic but very lenient when it comes to neonazis

In Gay Harem, which is a free game, every adventure takes place in a different 'town' or 'kingdom' and the sex seems to be very hot, in the sense that any and all combinations of partners is allowed and to me it looks like a combo of comic books and gaming. Of course, just like Candy Crush or Words with Friends, some extra things you can do would cost you tokens or can be bought. And there are things that do not take place on screen, like when you play some moves. I don't know if I like that. I'd like to see everything. Duh.

I had never found a 'gay game' like this before. I've seen the ads for some games that 'will make you cum' while exploring some of the tubes but of course I never click on them. I would not know how to play them and I don't like downloading anything to my computer. I don't own an XBox, either (who do you think I am, a Gen Z? LOL

Seduce Guys
Horny guys galore are waiting for you! Go on exciting lewd missions to find over 200 (and counting) guys in the Haremverse and invite them to join your Harem! You can also save them from villains or win their affection in the Epic/ Event/ Mythic Pachinko!

Well, that sounds like a trip! I think the world of gaming is cool, don't get me wrong. I guess I just get bored with all the moves you have to make. I remember Jimmy saying the last game he played was PacMan and I kind of wish all video games were as easy! I guess I get lost in the 'how' and don't enjoy the 'do'.

I believe you can play Gay Harem without actually signing up for it, but don't take my word for it.  They do make it sound like it could be fun, though:

Harem Boost
Advance your guys by teaching them how to become exquisite sexual performers and bring your Harem to its ultimate capacity. Make the size of your… Harem work for you!
Affection Level
Shower the hunks of your Harem with gifts, grow their affection to increase their skills and see them express their gratitude by undressing for you.
Character buildup
Get the best equipment at the Market to raise your sexual skills to the top!

Sounds like fun, right?

I have to say I'm tempted. After COVID and now with MonkeyPox (which can be transmitted by touch) virtual sex sounds more attractive than ever. Now, would I need a bigger screen? This could get tricky.

  1. I never got into gaming and gaming with cartoon homo sex doesn't do it for me either. Just not my thang.

    1. Same.
I never did see the attraction. Tons of people love them though. I just cannot see myself that invested. I don't even play Candy Crush!

  2. Sorry, but those pics look like cheap anime. While the romance adds an instrumental party to you character in an RPG (role playing game) it never resembles anything close to what you seem to be looking for. For romance to happen between 2 characters, you need to make the right choices and choose the correct comments from a dialogue tree. It's a lot like life. If you're playing a game just for the romance, then you're playing it for the wrong reason.

    1. HA!
Well they market themselves as Anime meets Comics. People don't play it for the graphics, but to stay away from the intrinsic homophobia of mainstream video games. After all, video games are created for horny fourteen year olds who think the worst thing that can happen to them is to be called 'gay'.
And the aim of this game IS romance, Dave.

Nerddom is pretty queer, despite the narcissists. And it has been for some time.

The premise sounds intriguing, however, I don’t think I have the patience or the cunning to work my way through the dialogue. Also, “Shower the hunks of your Harem with gifts, grow their affection to increase their skills” sounds like a red flag that to advance it’s going to cost you some serious coin. If you become ad-dick-ted to the game, it could get serious.

    1. Oh, gamers spend inordinate amounts of time playing their games.
Like hours at a time. I know someone whose boyfriend literally spent from eight at night until two in the morning playing. They did not last.
And I think anything that's free ends up being expensive. People get into their games and then the tokens start to appear.

  4. You figure out what you need to do as far as set up, and if you need a bigger tv, Ill just hold your joystick while you do, wink!

Oh I know people who have a whole setup for their video games. Really. Like special chairs and the whole nine yards with superfast processors and all that jazz.
And I'm sure they don't use joysticks anymore? LOL I have no idea.

  5. I have been playing vid games ever since I met The Boyfriend. I've never played with anything super sexual, but they do have a number of gay dating games which are cheesy fun. I took the first one very seriously. It followed a story line the more choices you made on dates with various eligibles in your cyberverse. It was graphically very stunning and the storyline sort of felt like a Hallmark movie. I played it once and that was it. Just not into pretend people. Have fun with this one. Not into Bara, Manga, or any Anime. The Boyfriend loves them. I just find it all too one dimensional. - Kizzes.

    1. And cheesy fun is fun!
I think video games have come a long way. They were always very homophobic and game creators shied away from gay storylines. And I don't do video games. They bore me and make me dizzy.
