One Like You
It's not a mystery that I like butch women. It's just the way things are. And LP has been on this blog before, so you already knew that. But this is her latest and I had to post it. In this video LP is giving me Jimmy Hendrix/Prince doing Ocean's Eleven badassery and I'm here for it.
I love the moody video and of course, I love her vocals. I think I told you I saw her live in Ravinia right before the pandemic hit and I was enthralled. We were so blown away by her sound that we barely paid attention to Roxy Music, which was the headliner. Go figure.

This would have been a lot better if: 1 she were an alto; 2 she'd lose that terrible vibrato; 3 she'd stop filtering her voice. This is a song that needs to be belted by a full throated voice.
