Oh, Vincenzo
@nk_m_ps
I am always in awe of anybody who can actually draw. They make it seem so easy! Of course, people who know how to do something will always make it seem like it's nothing. What I don't know is if I would ever dare pose nude for someone, à la Rose in Titanic, to paint me like he paints his French men. It's an idea, though...
But if you feel like immortalizing your likeness in the buff, just get in touch with Vincenzo @NK_M_PS and he'll do you good. For what I saw, you'll have to slid into his DMs to commission a portrait. And those portraits seem to be quite cool. Just look at some of his work here.
He seems to work mainly with white pastel and charcoal on black bristol, which I have no idea how it works, but the results are quite stunning. Debra could probably tell us the technique, but the results are quite impressive. I like how the shadows work and even though I like the ones in color (red) I think I prefer the B&W better? I don't know...
Vincenzo also seems to go for men who are not exactly 'perfect' and that is a plus, in my book. These look like men we would see on the street and that makes his renderings even more interesting. I do like to look at pretty men, don't get me wrong. But most of them look way too perfect. I like my men with a touch of realism, a little bit soft on the edges, a little bit mangled by life. And I think that @nk_m_ps brings that point home in his art. I totally approve.
There is something about the male form the way he presents it, that really gives me the tingle to mingle. I actually like these drawings even more when the subject seems to be at rest. It adds a certain sensuality I find quite attractive. So, what say you? Ready to pose?
XOXO
Those who are good at a craft are truly amazing! Just look at Jonathan from yesterday’s post. And those that can draw can practice their art anywhere. Vincent does have a gift and I also kind of prefer the black and white, I think the lighting is better…or maybe it’s my aging eyes 😎.
ReplyDeleteI’d have you pose for me, but it would just be a stick figure, then we could pursue other endeavors 😝.
XOXO 👨🏼❤️💋👨🏽
I truly think it's a gift, too.
DeleteAnd I would what would happen if I posed naked for you! hahaha
XOXO
Not really into erotic art, but thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteIt's just art, at the end of the day, Dave.
DeleteJust art.
XOXO
Big says,
ReplyDeleteThose are great, and I agree on the B&W preference. I'd have no issue posing nude - I even offered to an artist friend who teaches classes. He didn't take me up on it. "Mangled." ... LOVE that. XOXO
I do have a thing for B&W, have to admit it.
DeleteAnd I have never posed nude for anybody. I guess I have unresolved issues. LOL
And you know a man's body can tell stories...
XOXO
Vincenzo is clearly an accomplished professional artist. Beautiful work! I had a friend many years ago in Winnipeg who was a nude model for artists. He was also generally a nudist and exhibitionist, so he really enjoyed the modelling.
ReplyDeleteI think Deb's is right. I don't mind being nude so sitting for artists wouldn't bother me.
DeleteI thought his work was very good.
DeleteAnd I think you really need to be comfortable in your own skin (and be a little bit of an exhibitionist, Mads) to pose nude. I think I lack the confidence..
XOXO
Oh I agree completely with what you're saying. Believe it or not I was never very comfortable with my body until only the last 10 years. But I've mostly look like I do now since high school. I think I was always just very shy and didn't want to show skin. Hell, I wouldn't even start wearing shorts till I was in the 12th grade. It wasn't until I met the lad and his Circle of Friends that brought me out of my shell. A few of them caught glimpses of me naked on vacations and said why are you hiding all that. And of course the Woods Campground really helped me come out of my shell.
DeleteSame!
DeleteI've looked more or less the same for a very long time. That's good to upcycle clothes LOL.
I am kind of weary of showing skin, I think in the last years I've been more into shorts and t-shirts and all that. I think you're right, I think age gives us confidence.
And I may have to vacation at the campground!!
XOXO
Oh Sixpence.... We must be on the same way length again. Here we go posting on the same thing again! Well when my friend approached me about sitting for him, even though he was a friend I was still a little nervous at first. My main worry was what if I got an erection. But I think once you're actually naked and then laying there you actually get comfortable pretty quick. If I recall correctly I think one erection did happen. I love this artist technique too. I'd be willing to DM him and see how this goes. My long-term goal would be to have a collage of male nude artwork someday for one wall.Which is why I wouldn't mind a few of myself. Because as we know in the famous words of Blanche Devereaux - "This is my chance to be immortalized in work of art."
ReplyDeleteWell why don't you come here and pose nude for me and I'll draw you. And if I can't draw you I'm sure I can find other things we can do!
Absolutely!
DeleteI saw your post on that artist in Provincetown? Fab. And I kind of envy your level of comfort with your body. Having been a skinny kid I do not really have a lot of confidence in my physicality.
And if you do DM him, I think he'd take you on your offer. And we'd need to see that!
And I really don't trust you or Huntely as my first nude posing affair. I know you'd start fine and then everything will end up like it ended for Jack and Rose! LOL
XOXO
I don't know why I gather but I think you're probably being hard on yourself. For some reason I pictured you being physically and shape very close to me I don't know why. Because I'm a pocket gay and thin also. And I cannot believe you would not trust me to draw you!! I mean, I might cup a few good feels..
DeleteI am kinda of in shape, but not as fit as you, Mads. And if you take into account what Dave says, I'm too short LOL.
DeleteI just don't like to be naked, I guess. I need a week at the camping place you go!
XOXO
thank god for Google Translate
DeleteOh, totalmente.
XOXO
Adore any artist who appreciates the human form in its many forms. Beauty is to be found in most things... even those initially thought flawed. I adore the flaws. I adore the engraving of time, the weight of gravity, and the spirit's ability to suspend reality, circumvent it and fill a being with energy which defies our physical liabilities. Thanks for sharing these... Kizzes.
ReplyDeleteSame.
DeleteEspecially the male figure. I love how a man moves and looks and feels. These drawings make me connect to that. I also adore flaws. They're sexy, sensual and terribly interesting. They talk about a life lived.
XOXO
