Oh, Rayman...

Well, thank goodness Rayman did not go into psychiatry, because we would not be enjoying this stylish loft if he would have done that, right? This also tells you that we not always follow the path we were supposed to follow.

But it also tells you that some people have that thing that lets them imbue their personality in their homes in a way that it's uniquely theirs. And that's what we have here. I think one space that is probably difficult to decorate is a loft. It's literally a box. But making it 'ours' can definitely be rewarding (and cool). And I had no idea you can build a partition in a loft but not take it to the ceiling. TMYK, right??

One thing I like? How he manages to have a work/living space. I don't know how I'd manage, but he seems to have found a very good balance. And it's apparently worked because that Birkin bag didn't buy itself!!

  1. I could easily live in this loft, and he did an excellent job styling it and incorporating nice color. I love that the statue head sat on top of a book by Walter Chin. I must say , I noticed he has excellent taste in accent lamps too!

    1. Same.
It's a very manageable space and it feels like one could live there. And those lamps!

I like the way that he has been able to divide up the loft into different sections. However, I did notice that his “work” area has become the majority of the spaces. The dining room now functions as additional workspace. When you have a business like his, it’s bound to expand into any flat surface. And he holds onto everything!

I noticed that his closet is much like yours was in the apartment…too small 😎. I do love the blue of the bookcases. It really pops.

    1. Same.
I was impressed with the work area. As someone who worked from home during the whole pandemic, having a 'work' area saved my life, probably.

And yes, of course, the closet. LOL

  3. imho, for such a small space, he has too many objects.

    1. That could be true, especially if you're a minimalist.
But he owns a decorating business, so you can imagine some stuff is gonna make it to his shelves/space.

  4. Big says,
Who knew that a "loft" could have a separate bedroom? Ya learn something every day, eh? LOL. Right off, you know it's way too cluttered from me. I'd be getting rid of a lot of stuff off the flat surfaces. But the design elements are really good. I'll bet his interest in psychology most certainly helps in working with clients. XOXO

    1. Haha IKR?
But that makes it more 'an apartment', I guess.
He does love his stuff (having a living/office space makes it difficult to keep it all under control) but I think everything kinda works together?

  5. interesting. He likes color, that's a big plus, but it's too small for dogs.

    1. I did like his sense of color.
And not everybody wants a pet. I've never felt the need to enjoy that kind of codependency, for example.
