Oh, Thirty Four....?

So, what's new and exciting??

I will forever remember when I was when I found out that years of unpunished crime ended for Don Fartleone on May 30, 2024, when he was found guilty on 34 counts by a jury of his peers. Don the Con fucked around and finally found out. It took forty years, but the day he was found guilty of crimes came at last.

@mmpadellan

Fuck Cheeto and fuck all his enablers. Fuck each and every one of the MAGAts in the government and fuck his grifting, criminal family. Fuck every Rethuglyclown who has enabled his criminal enterprise to flourish with the help of the seal of the presidency fuck every politician who has aided and condoned his behavior in search of power and money. Fuck every one of his supporters. Fuck the conservative judges in SCOTUS who have delayed his case. Fuck  Aileen Cannon and her fuckery concerning the stolen documents case. And fuck every politician who still excuses his soiling of the office of the presidency.

XOXO

P.S. There's still three more cases (that everybody considered much more viable than the NY case) pending: two Federal cases on Classified Documents and the January 6 Election Interference and the Georgia Election Interference; but you know it's doubtful he'll serve a long time in prison and you know that he's still going to run for president of the United States because he's a white, rich, old cisgender man who has the support of the Religious Wrong and the Good Old Boy's Club.

@politifact

Can Trump still run for president after his conviction?
Yes. The U.S. Constitution upholds the principle that voters decide who should represent them, and its qualifications are limited to natural-born citizenship, age (35 by Inauguration Day) and residency in the United States (14 years).

Convicted felons have run for president in the past. Lyndon LaRouche was convicted in 1988 of tax and mail fraud conspiracy and ran for president multiple times between 1976 and 2004. Eugene Debs was convicted of violating the Espionage Act of 1917 for an anti-war speech, then ran for president under the Socialist Party banner from a federal prison in Alabama in 1920.

  1. Even if he has been found guilty, can he run for next fall's presidential elections?

    1. Yes, he can Xersex.
Crazy, no? There's nothing in the books about a crooked convicted felon running for president because it was unimaginable a convicted felon would run. Yet here we are ...

  2. I was happy for a small step!!!! But when the other three big indictments come up we then will see if everyone is really above the law. I will still believe it when I see it if he ever goes to jail, for those, which are even far more serious. And I agree with Xersex. That that stink ass party and the US even allow, a now, convicted felon on the ticket to even run for President is crazy and shows just how the US is now tarnished. Does this mean any convict can now run for office? But this outcome was lovely...and I hope it show all those in his family , that Party and his base what's to come.

How many Happy Meals do we think he threw up against the walls last night? LMAO!!!!!

    2. Oh yes.
He's got Cannon and part of SCOTUS on his side trying to delay the outcome of those indictments and I'm not sure they'll come before the elections. And the US is not tarnished: the GOP is tarnished. They allowed Cheeto to run free and this is what we get.

    3. I think the voters are tarnished I should have said. Years ago, a candidate of this kind would have been laughed and black balled right out of DC and the party system, let alone get any votes from citzens. People would not even think of voting for such a criminal. So, our morals and expectations are shit these days. I think we are seeing the beginning of the sinking of the Titanic.

    HuntleyBiGuy:
FINALLY, he has been held accountable for some of his misdeeds. For all of the small businesses he has ruined with his refusal to pay his bills, the the lives he has ruined, causing some of his contractors to commit suicide because of that, this is a small bit of satisfaction. Will he serve time behind bars for this? Probably not. But one of the options on the table is home confinement. And if they could confine him to his Net York City hell hole, that would be glorious.

    1. I was wondering if Teflon Don would prevail.
But no. And he's been held accountable for his fuckery for the first time in his life. You know he's hurt. I don't know if he'll go to jail for this, but he keeps fucking around and running his mouth, so we'll see.

  5. Big says,
There are ways his team of lawyers can even delay the sentencing, so don't get too excited about that. That he can --- as a felon --- campaign and even become Commander In Chief when he would be barred from the military is wild, ain't it?
The asshats in Congress who immediately started running off at the mouth to come to his aid is the most disgusting of all yesterday's events. They ALL need to go. Every rethuglycan in any office anywhere. As many as possible need to be gone. VOTE BLUE for fuck's sake. XOXO

P.S. I think it was Claire McCaskill who advised yesterday when she warned, "Do not be seen out on the streets celebrating. You could be shot and killed."

    1. Oh, they'll try EVERYTHING to delay the sentence (7/11) but the damage is done: he's not untouchable. Let's se if the other three cases result in indictments, too.
And the Repugs are afraid, because if Cheeto falls, they'll fall too.
And Claire is right. I don't trust the MAGAts. Not for a second.

  7. It's a shame the judge didn't immediately remand him to custody. That would have played well. In the end... as you said - he is white and privileged and has the appearance of wealth... he will skate. Get elected. Pardon himself and kill the other investigations. We hope that's not the outcome... but - not holding my breath. That said... for once? Some good news!!!

    1. Oh, and when Biden debates him? Biden's every rebuttal should be "34 Counts!" and "Convicted Felon says 'What?'.

HuntleyBiGuy: He won’t be able to pardon himself from this conviction, since these are New York charges. Fortunately, there is a Democratic governor, so that’s unlikely at this point.

    3. Oh, the justice system has bent over backwards to make sure he's treated 'fairly'. Privilege, you know.
He's already killed investigations on him, but I would not be surprised. THAT is why he's running: it's the only way to stay out of jail.

  8. I didn't see it in your post, so I'll remind everyone that as a convicted felon, Trump can no longer vote in Florida, he can not carry a gun, and he cannot get a security clearance. It's also estimated that at least 7% of Trump supporters, rather than vote for him, will just stay home, and that might be a conservative number.

    1. Oh, I think that they mention in the Politifact link that he will be able to vote, if he stays out of jail. Something having to do with where he committed the crime (New York).
And he'll be banned from several countries now that he's a felon. Good. His supporters may still vote for him. I don't trust the morals of a MAGAt.

Sadly, as the nominee, he WILL get a security clearance and the daily briefings. The man who sold national intelligence to our enemies, will again have access to the information.

  9. I love the magazine covers, and the NYT one is perfection!
And while I wonder if he'll do jail time, I love the idea that every single time his name appears in print from now on, it will be preceded by the words "convicted felon."

    1. I hope he does jail time.
He keeps running his mouth, so no remorse, no desire to change. And all those violations of gag orders!
And the MAGAts were LIVID with the 'convicted felon' moniker. Yay.
