Oh, The Boyfriend...?

If you have Netflix (or have somebody's password for Netflix) this should be your next binge: The Boyfriend. Why? Because finding out what makes men tick never gets old. No matter what culture they belong to....

Also, I think we are way too used to the way gay men see relationships in America.

XOXO

@Taiki_jp, who was in this bog with his boyfriend, recommended it 😎

And these are the boys:

  1. Big says,
Reality TV just makes me...shudder these days. Though, I must agree, it could be nice to see how another culture handles the reality of gay men.

    2. Oh, this is groundbreaking.
Remember, it's not America. It's Japan, where same-sex partnerships are very new and same-sex marriage does not exist. Also, social norms are very different to social norms in America.

  3. Very few reality shows hold me past one or two season...drag race the exception...and even that now is getting a bit much. But one season of this would be interesting to see....now off to see which tricks have netflix......

    1. I binge-watched this in a weekend.
It's very different to our Reality TV in the states. And each man had a very different story. It's just one season and I recommend it... If you have a free weekend? Get some popcorn.

  4. Ugh. Privileged pretty boys. Ugh. Really? Have we nothing better to offer the world? Pass. But thanks for letting me know this existed. It's nice to see that shallowness knows no cultural barriers. (Well, that's something.) Kizzes.

    1. Oh, this is Japan.
The 'homosexual' tradition is long there, but very few rights. And the approach is very different to American Reality Shows. Their struggles are not our struggles.
Pretty? Yes. Duh. But there's a lesson here somewhere.

I binged the whole thing in a weekend.
It was fun. And instructive! The view is different from your country when Gay marriage is not even recognized.
