Oh, Troy and Frank...?
Oh, this is a labor of love. To transform a 1870s (!!) house into this? LOTS of work.
You know how I love when they show the 'before' pics, because that lets us know the amount of work it went into the final product. And the final product is classy, almost contemporary and absolutely stunning. Seriously. THAT is having a vision.
This is a style of house I find very attractive, because that central hallway allows for each room to be its own little world (and keeps the house cool in NOLA). I love their idea of supporting local artists, too you help the local art community and your house looks awesome.
They did some tweaks to the house, of course. It happens when your house was literally built last century. But really. The result is fab. And they have a fucking piano!!!
And that backyard? *faints*
They're such a cool couple, too. I'd LOVE to be invited to a dinner party there.

P.S. the fact that the man who built the house lived there with his widow sister and there's no mention of a wife, gives me the idea that he may have been one of those 'confirmed bachelors'...

That kitchen is to die for...that stove! Oh, I could do some damage there. But, oh, my.....that pool! Yes, please! When do I move in????

My God I absolutely love what they did to the outside of the house. And I love the inside especially the fireplace. And the other part of the house it's my favorite is the kitchen. Very nice reno. Very elegant. And I agree with Deb's Troy's man spread? Hmmmm..... they must need a lot of space for the jumblies!
