Back to Steamworks, Mawmah...!

Oh, the Gays.
I have not been around big groups of gay men for awhile (my circle of friends is not as big as it used to be but there's straight, non-binary and trans people in my group now). But to tell you the truth, this sounds kind like my group once was. It's literally brunch at Roscoe's on Sunday morning, if I'm gonna be honest...

XOXO

    1. I used to hang out mainly with gay cisgender men, mind you.
I think after college I started having more LBT friends. Still feel I have too few Lesbian friends...

    1. Can't STAND most DC queens. Probably why I never went to DC much to go clubbing or drag stints. It seems it was always about who your connected to, what you do , what you drive and wear, who you hang out with, and at the time it seemed everyone was politically connected. Maybe it has changed since then. I had several friends' job's take them there, all very social, and they have all since moved out already. They all said it was so hard to fit in and find friends there.

Yep. THOSE gays. Many are about how much money you have and what people you know. And in DC I can imagine that it's all about politics.
And it's hard to find friends in DC in general. Cutthroat is an applicable definition.

  7. Well, I have a wide circle of friends like you, and more diverse like yours now too. But once in a while it will be just my core group of us boys and while don't sound like them at all. We discuss everything under the sun from world affairs to our sex lives...maybe we are just deeper then groups like this caricature of a group of gay men. But don't get me wrong...we can and do camp it up!

    1. I think I need more lesbian friends, TBH.
My honorary now is Debra and I have my girls but they moved out of state. I do have a smaller circle that includes some cis women and Trans men, along with my gays, but hey...
