Oh, fourteen...?
Ok, so here we go. These are the ones I like:
1. The fab Neckties. I wear neckties for work and this is very much my think. I like them slim because I'm not a big dude.
2. Grandpacore: I love the idea of upcycling!!
3. Fluid tailoring: LOVE! It allows me to layer AND be comfy. Love, love, love layers.
4. Statement hats. Hats and ties are kinda the thing for me. Hats may be my thang.
5.Skorts!!!!
Apart from skorts and riding boots, I think I'm set for 2025.
XOXO
Big says,
ReplyDeleteAt first, I thought "customer based" designs meant...well, things most men would actually wear. LOL. How positively silly of me. The big, oversized, baggy stuff? Not unless I'm trying to hide something. The layered look - I've always liked it with v-neck sweaters, etc, but an actual shirt over another actual shirt - is someone a fan of Steve Bannon? LOL!!!!
XOXO
I love some oversized stuff because I like layers. So there's that.
DeleteBut with moderation. I think Balenciaga went way out there.
XOXO
I'm sure you'll look fab!
ReplyDeleteHahaha
DeleteThanks, Debra! I just look slightly eccentric. But chic.
XOXO
So much fun. Not for me... but you go! Skorts? Hmm. Ties... loved them. I wore them in the office - one of a few - I just always wanted folks to know I took my work seriously. I don't miss them. I kept my faves - 1940s vintage, 1950s vintage. The rest... bye-bye. The rest. Zzzz. I am watching this vid and amazed that this world exists and that people take it so seriously and spend so much time on it. It's beyond foreign to me. I remember looking at the fashionistas in the office and smiling. It showed they showed up to care. So... maybe fashion represents a commitment to life...to showing up. There is just so much fabric involved. Kizzes.
ReplyDeleteI would try skorts. I would.
DeleteAnd you just KNOW that people live for shit like this. As in it's their livelihood. Otherwise we would not have stylists or even Instagram influencers. People seem to crave this.
And I think you may be right: a commitment to fashion (or style) means you ARE showing up.
XOXO
Hi... I wanted to contact you off-line but couldn't find your e. I was hoping you were planning on doing (or maybe you did and I missed it?) a piece about the TRANSA album. It is an awesome project - Sade (sad story), Sam Smith, Andre 3000 and many many more. It's rather epic. So... little bird (me)... hope you read this. Kizzes.
DeleteYou again read my mind!
DeleteI was thinking about that song Sade wrote for her son, so yeah. I'll get on that!
You're awesome.
XOXO
I love love love a pea coat! I still wear mine all the time (well winter all the time). I also love the bags they carry. Although because I am short, it might make me look even shorter. I should/could wear ties more often.
ReplyDeleteOh, pea coats are fantastic!!
DeleteIt's such a flattering cut. And never go out of style. And you know I just love bags!
And being short really just means that you are going to have to be careful with proportions. That's all, basically.
XOXO
I am into cardigans like mad these days! And some of those coats are stunning.
ReplyDeleteHats? I can't; I keep telling people, "Hats are over." I could be wrong.
Skorts? Don't come near me in skorts!
xoxo
Yes!
DeleteSome of those coats! The cut! The materials! Seriously.
And I think you may be wrong about hats. Love them.
LOL @ skorts
XOXO
"And looking grim 'cause they've been sitting
ReplyDeleteChoosing a hat.
Does anyone still wear a hat?
I'll drink to that."
There you go! The Ladies who Lunch.
DeleteThat's the quote I needed!
XOXO
What a great lyric! And sung by so many great Divas!
