GLAAD you came

GLAAD is one of the most recognizable NGAs in the country. And this year, when they put up their awards show online, I made sure I tuned in. It was fun, especially because these kind of entertainment was the only one possible before we got the vaccine. Some of my favorite artists/movies etc were up for awards. These are my recommendations so you celebrate Pride in style (while supporting REAL allies):

Outstanding Film - Wide Release

A TV in the veranda is a great idea! There is SO much streaming these days! During the pandemic, specially, streaming services were a lifesaver. And you have Disney+????

    1. Oh, there's so much out there.
Many of these are On Demand, so they can be viewed without having the any of the big three. Also, if your friends are vaccinated you can have a movie night at THEIR houses if they have N, H or A. Win/Win.

      XOXO

  6. A lot we've seen. Great stuff. A lot we haven't. Have you seen "And the Band Played On"? Oh, you must. If you've seen "The Boys In the Band" you absolutely must. "We're Here" - we absolutely love it. Scripted TV series though? Where is "This Is Us"????? Not even a nod? Fuck the GLAAD awards. LOL.

    1. Ohhh wasn't that a book?
I'll look it up. And I think This is Us may have been there? Or maybe the first season didn't make the cut for the year? I wrote down only the ones I was familiar with. People swear by This is Us.

    2. "And the Band Played On" is available on DVD. Not sure if it can be streamed. But go look for it. If you find it, get it. You'll be glad you did.
I have two reasons for liking "This Is Us." It's a damn fine show, well written. And Milo Ventimiglia...I used to work with his younger brother.

  8. I've seen a few of these. To tell you the truth? I only watch in the evenings on weekends. So... two movies, a weekend... maybe a show. I dunno. I want to do other things, I guess. There is so much content out there. I can't watch all of it, so I watch very little of it. I adore Big Mouth. Hated Prom. And award shows? When I was a young thing, I thought the world revolved around them... I'd dress up. But now? Meh. There are so many awards. And, yes... fun to win, but... what? What does it mean? What is its value? They feel... empty. So I don't watch. Because... I don't care. I like what I like... maybe we should all give out one, single award each year. Just one... from each person. We mail it to the celeb/director/ whatever... And everybody has to do it. I dunno... I think it would mean something then. Kizzes.

    1. I think we have the same schedule.
I only watch in the evenings. I'm also busy during the day, so weekends and evenings it is. I am not bingeing like I did at the beginning of the pandemic, though. We used to sit down and watch two and three episodes of a series in one sitting. LOL
Big Mouth is the ish. So smart.
And see what I told you about Prom? Ha!
Many of the award shows need to be updated. Too stuffy.

      XOXO
